Annuity Best Interest Standard

The Annuity Best Interest Standard seminar is designed to meet the Pennsylvania Insurance Department's requirements for producers holding Life and Annuity lines of authority that have already completed the prior Annuity Suitability coursework. This session expands on the duties of the producers as well as insurers pertaining to the required disclosure information as well as the reasonable suitability of the annuity contract.

The course addresses how annuities can be used as a vehicle for retirement planners in addition to reviewing the different types of annuity programs; such as flexible and single premium, as well as immediate income. Points will be stressed on how annuities can work in qualified markets such as TSA/ 403B Plans. The course will complete discussing the investment options such as fixed, variable, and indexed annuities along with the taxation aspects of these plans.

This approved class meets the PA Insurance Department's Best Interest Standard requirements for four (4) credits under Act 99 that went into effect June 20, 2022.
