HealthCare Rating, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Cobra, & Sec 125

This course will address the fundamentals and objectives of health insurance rating, underwriting, compliance, and federal codes. We’ll discuss how medical ratings are established, reviewed, and renewed. We will also look at the underwriting criteria used, which further define the ratings system. We’ll touch on Healthcare financing for the plans themselves as well as the reinsurance aspects for client groups. Lastly we’ll complete the session reviewing COBRA and Section 125 tax codes.
